David Chevan & the Nu Haven Kapelye

This New Haven-based group joins professional musicians with community members to form New England’s largest klezmer band. Their love of klezmer music produces a rich mix of Balkans and blues, jazz and spirit, prayer and history.

Lazer Lloyd Blues Band

Lazer Lloyd is Israel’s #1 blues guitarist. His English-language original lyrics and cool combinations of acoustic and electric blues convey universal messages that move and inspire. His unique take on the traditional Hassidic tunes are guaranteed to touch your heart.

Ari Lesser

Ari is a talented songwriter, rapper, and spoken-word artist who raps from the perspective of various personalities in the Bible. His witty and insightful lyrics bring biblical stories to life. Ari is also known for his monumental project creating rhymed translations of the 150 chapters of the book of Psalms and their powerful messages.

The Klezmenschen

Roz Etra leads this “freyliche” big band from the New London area. Their combined brass, strings, and woodwinds play lively traditional Yiddish and Israeli folk melodies for listening and dancing.

All-Day Festival Activities

12:00-5:00
Israeli and local artists and artisans will be selling a variety of Judaica, jewelry, art and unique Israeli products. Books, videos and games of Jewish interest will be available for sale. Festival-goers will be able to choose from delicious kosher fair favorites. Kids will enjoy inflatable slides, obstacle course and a variety of Jewish-themed arts and crafts projects. All day Jewish music, kosher food, art & book sale, entertainment, children’s crafts & inflatables, and jewelry & craft vendors! Free admission. Food, crafts, and vendor items are for sale.

Chabad of the Shoreline is dedicated to helping Jews connect to their heritage through study, innovative programs and communal events. Chabad also reaches out to those in need of spiritual or material assistance.
